Húsafell - Sumarhúsaleiga

The summerhouses in Stórarjóður 1 to 4 are owned by the Travel Center in Húsafell and are rented to the public. Over the summermonths they are rented out for a week at a time but during wintertime they are rented out for a weekend or a week..

There is room in each house for six people. There is one master bedroom, one children’s room with a bunk and a small sleeping loft (a children´s cot is in the master bedroom). There is restroom with a shower, a kitchen and a living room. In each house there is cutlery for twelve people. Also a television, radio and a microwave (not a washing machine or a dish washer). In the shop in Húsafell you can get access to a washing machine for a low fee. On the verandas of the houses there are hot tubs, tables and chairs as well as a charcoal-barbecue. In the houses there are six duvets and you can rent covers in the shop. Wiping cloths and cleaning liquids come with the rent.

One week in June, July and Augus	55.000 kr.
One weekend, three nights, in May and September	25.000 kr.
One weekend, three nights, from October to April	20.000 kr.

Those who rent the houses are responsible for themselves during their stay but we would like to mention a few rules of conduct:

Smoking is not allowed in the houses
Use and treat the facilities and furniture with the same care as if they were your own
Show special caution when using candles
Special notice must be taken when using the hot tubs. Always put the safety lid back on the tubs after you have used them. Take care that the heat of the water is appropriate. Keep an eye on children in and around the hot tubs.
After your stay you must return the house and everything in it clean and in a working condition.
Clean the barbecue and the hot tub.
All litter should be put in the waste containers (they are situated on your left next the exit of the area).
Dogs and other pets are not allowed in the houses.
